Gremlins in the upgrade

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update to let you know I am feeling much better now. Stomach problems rumble on but I am much better.

Please don't post any comments here because I will take this post down later.

This is just an apology really. It's been very frustrating over the last couple of days. Our blogs have been upgraded behind the scenes and that is why you have all experienced problems posting comments.

If any are missing please re-try again today.

I'm back in hospital today (Friday) having blood and platelets.

If it does stop working again - or other problems emerge - please can you drop a brief email to liam.mcneilis@liverpool.com or steveharrison@liverpool.com

Thanks again for all the comments - incrediby uplifting and moving for me to read.

Best wishes,

Adrian

Hi, hope you've managed to get rid of the gremlins. Just to let you know I have joined the Sudders Army and am now a proud member of the Bone Marrow register. Hopefully one day I will be able to make a difference to someone. Hope that you feel brighter after your visit to the hospital today. Best wishes to you and your family. Well done for all that you have achieved so far. Julia.

Hi Adrian

I've been reading your blog for sometime now and feel it is time to make a comment on how outstanding and special you are. I found you through the BBC news, and as a fellow blogger, I love to read words. I love to write them too (for your eyes only, this isn't a plug, www.lplateauthor.blogspot.com )
and have been tracking my ups and downs as I try to get published.

I think you are amazing to share all this, I have a shiver for instance when I read a post and then you say 'but I'm dying'. When the words are written this way, you feel like you already know the person, don't you?

Your words will be with me for a long time after you are gone. You are truly an inspiration and when I moan, like I do often, that why can't someone give me a break on the publishing front, I will recall your words and how poignant they are, far more real than mine will ever be.

I love your diet, have fun with it and drink loads mate. My thoughts and prayers are with you

I just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you I wish you the very best. Stay strong for as long as you can, and please know that you've made a difference to so many people all over the world. Soon I'm going to put myself on the list to become a donor, and I know that this is something that would not have happened without you and your influence and passion. I feel that when we all reach the end of our lives the best thing that can happen is to know that you left the world a better place than when you came into it. I think that you are the definition of making this world a better place. Thank you for sharing your story with all of us. Stay strong and continue to fight.

Best,

Hi Adrian, just to let you know the article about your campaign was in our local paper yesterday. I have already had people in the shop to sign the petition and hopefully there will be more who go on the web to sign up too. The picture in the paper was of me holding the petition and a photo of you. I am sure there are many young ladys who will be very interested in the campaign now!!! Glad you are in better spirits and things have settled down for you, long may it continue. Keep strong Chris

I did write the other day, but not sure if you received it. I have been following your story for a while now.

I am a shorthand teacher and I teach journalists. You remind me so much of the many young people who have learned with me, passed exams and moved on to other jobs.

Like you they have been bright, energetic and fantastic at communicating. I have had great fun over the years and never regretted their company for one minute. This is despite constant nagging for them to do their homework and practice their speed cds!! Only once did I nearly throw my briefcase in the canal!

I wished I had taught you. I am sure you would have been fun too!

May your god be with you. Next time I despair at a student I will think of you, your lovely smile and dry not to nag too much!

Phyllis

HA HA - now you can't take this blog down :) Too many have put lovely comments on it and it's become a part of the whole story.
love it :)
I hope you get to feeling better than you do, soon!

I agree! But I suppose that's the nature of this blog it has evolved into ways none of us could have imagined! x
